The Role:

My client are looking for a Founding AI Engineer to join at a pivotal stage. This person will lead the development of LLM-powered systems that transform complex business operations into simple, automated workflows. It’s hands-on, applied AI, built to make a real impact from day one.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Architecting and scaling production-ready AI systems focused on automation and insight
• Building RAG pipelines and intelligent agents that retrieve, summarise, and act on business-critical data
• Evaluating and integrating open-source, fine-tuned, and proprietary models to deliver the best outcomes
• Collaborating cross-functionally to turn ideas into usable, scalable features
• Helping shape the AI engineering culture from the ground up

What They’re Looking For:

• Strong experience building and shipping NLP or LLM-based systems
• Deep understanding of how to work with large language models responsibly and effectively
• Engineering focus—robustness, scalability, and performance are second nature
• Ability to work across ambiguity and move from 0→1 quickly
• A product mindset: curious about the user, not just the model

Nice to Have:

• PhD or MSc in a technical field
• Experience working with knowledge graphs or stitching together multiple data sources
• A passion for solving messy problems with elegant, intelligent solutions
