Overview

As aForklift Operator - Pallet Sorter, is responsible for Heavy Lifting by hand sorting pallets to grade while ensuring all trash and debris is removed from pallets prior to returning to customer. When using a forklift the Operator moves pallets and other materials through warehouse, supporting production requirements in those areas, as well as loading and unloading customer trailers. Forklift is 50% Pallet Sorting by hand is 50%Â This role is vital to the success of our Relogistics site!

Hourly Pay

$17.00/hr.

3rd shift: Thursday - Sunday 5:00am - 3:00pm

4th shift: Thursday - Sunday 3:00pm - 1:30am

What You'll Do

• Move sorted pallet stacks to appropriate staging area using Relogistics forklift equipmentÂ
• Forklifts must be operated with extreme care, adhering to company safety procedures at all times
• Hand-sorting wooden pallets, when required
• Repairing wooden pallets using a nail gun, when required
• Maintain a clean & safe working environmentÂ
  
  

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED
• Forklift certification preferredÂ
• 1-3 years of forklift experienceÂ
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, lumber, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferredÂ
• Willingness to work in a labor intensive environmentÂ
• Ability to communicate effectivelyÂ
• Willing to work overtime as neededÂ

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
• Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and sit in a forklift for entire shifts of varying lengths
• The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision and color visionÂ
