The Forensic Pathologist will perform functions of a pathologist performing post mortem examinations and associated work duties.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Perform primary functions as a forensic pathologist in accordance with industry standards to determine manner and cause of death in medical examiner cases.
Meets or exceeds all regulatory and compliance standards as it relates to the medical and legal requirements of the office.
Maintains all required licenses and accreditations consistent with the industry standards.
Maintains individual continuing medical education and assures compliance with certification requirements.
Assists in the training of new forensic pathologists, residents and assists with the educational programs with participating agencies.
Reports to scene of investigation when requested and assists investigators in the management of the investigation.
Works closely with outsourced independent contractors when needed for forensic pathology services such as odontology, anthropology, toxicology, histology, etc.
Able to perform consultation work when requested.
Must be able to provide reports and data in a comprehensive format.
