Summary

Forensic Interviewer Starting salary range: $55,119.33 - $60,651.83 annually Schedule: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday; some evenings and weekends may be required Location: Bloomington, IL Are you passionate about protecting children and advocating for survivors of abuse? The Children's Advocacy Center of McLean County is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Forensic Interviewer to join our multidisciplinary team. In this vital role, you'll provide trauma-informed, legally-sound interviews to children and individuals with disabilities who have experienced alleged maltreatment or are witnesses to alleged violence. What You'll Do * Conduct forensic interviews using a nationally recognized protocols in a non-leading, developmentally appropriate manner. * Collaborate with law enforcement, DCFS, prosecutors, and other professionals during case reviews. * Attend peer reviews and stay current on best practices through ongoing training. * Track interview data, assist with grant support, and help maintain high standards of service delivery. * Other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For * A strong understanding of trauma-informed care, child development, and the dynamics of abuse. * The ability to build trust and communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. * Bachelor's degree in a social services-related field. * Upon hiring completion of a nationally recognized forensic interviewer training program. * 3-5 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience). * Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed. Bonus If You Have * Certification(s) in forensic interviewing. * Experience with grant writing or data analysis in a social services setting. Additional Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to pass a nationwide background check. Why Join Us?
