Spotsylvania County Public Schools is seeking a Foreign Language Interpreter to support our schools communication with students, parents and other community members whose primary languages are not English. Receives information on subjects (e.g. SPED conferences) to be discussed and studied prior to the interpreting session; interprets accurately and proficiently; maintains confidentiality when interpreting sensitive information. Helps non-English speaking parents to register students for school at an English as a Second Language (ESOL) Intake Center. Supports non-English speaking parents during parent conferences, grade reports, and school meetings/functions; collaborates with ESOL teachers to assure non-English speaking parents have a qualified interpreter in all meetings as needed.
