Supports and promotes the vision, mission, and strategic plans of Methodist Health System Your Job Requirements: • Culinary Arts School Graduate • Serv-Safe Certified and/or Certified Dietary Manager • 5 years' experience of Food Service experience. • 5 years' experience of Institutional Cooking experience. • Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office products • Superior oral and written communication skills • Ability to use business math concepts. • Ability to plan and schedule the work of others • Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment Your Job Responsibilities: • Communicate clearly and openly • Build relationships to promote a collaborative environment • Be accountable for your performance • Always look for ways to improve the patient experience • Take initiative for your professional growth • Be engaged and eager to build a winning team • Collaborates with the Production Manager to effect problem resolution to meet established patient satisfaction benchmark. • Ensures food waste is kept to a minimum • Assists in development and preparation of new menus and recipes for Retail, Catering and Patient Trayline • Establishes and maintains sanitation, maintenance and safety guidelines of equipment, refrigeration and work areas. • Ensures kitchen personnel follow HACCP guidelines • Orders food and supplies based on planned menus and recipes. Maintains inventory within established levels • Prepares all foods and oversees the preparation of food by kitchen personnel Methodist Southlake Medical Center is a 54-bed, acute care hospital serving Southlake, Keller, Grapevine, and northeastern Tarrant County in North Texas.
