Caswell Developmental Center is seeking an enthusiastic Food Service Assistant to function as a food server in the main kitchen.Â

Job responsibilities include the following

• Providing high quality food according to prescribed diets
• Packaging food items for delivery
• Cleaning/Sanitizing work areas,
• Dish Washing
• Utilizing accepted and established food handling, food storage, and sanitation procedures
• Successfully meeting productivity standards when completing job tasks.
  
  

Work Hours: 9:15 a.m. - 5:45 p.m. Â (every other weekend off)

Qualified candidates must document on the application that they clearly possess all of the following

• Ability to learn cleaning and food service procedures;
• Ability to perform moderately heavy physical labor for extended periods of time;
• Ability to maintain high standards of personal cleanliness and food sanitation;
• Ability to maintain professional and cooperative working relationships;
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions;

Management Preferences

• High School Diploma/GED Â Â
• Six months of food service experience in either a state operated program, ICF/IID facility, and/or school settingÂ

Physical Preferences

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds  Â
• Ability to stoop, bend, stand and walk carrying pans of food for a short distance  Â
• Ability to withstand daily exposure to food service equipment with temperatures below 50 degrees and above 140 degreesÂ
