Position: Food Process Engineer

Location: St. Gallen, Switzerland (60% on site, 40% travel)

Contract: Permanent contract, full-time position

Key Responsibilities:

• Support customer trials and technological sales queries.
• Develop recipes and optimize processes for chocolate and cocoa.
• Commissioning and on-site support for processing systems.
• Train customers and internal staff.
• Collaborate with internal and external R&D partners.
• Analyze and monitor production processes for quality and efficiency.
• Plan and implement system changes and optimizations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Our ideal candidate should have:

• Degree in Food Technology, Process Engineering, Thermodynamics, Biotechnology, or a similar field.
• Strong foundational knowledge in scientific (Food Technology, Chemistry, Physics) and technical disciplines.
• Skills in scientific work with a structured, solution-oriented, and pragmatic approach.
• Knowledge of food sensory analysis is a plus.
• Enjoyment of direct global customer contact.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong team player with conflict resolution abilities.
• Good knowledge of spoken and written English. German is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%.
