As a Flowform Manufacturing Process Engineer your primary responsibility will be to take ownership of maintaining and developing parameters specific to our flowform operations. Taking a hands-on approach, a successful Flowform Manufacturing Process Engineer will monitor production and assist in troubleshooting manufacturing issues at Flowform and drive continuous improvement efforts throughout the process.
Additional Responsibilities
Support customers’ technical requirements from program infancy through First Article Inspections
Develop and maintain work instructions and manufacturing processes for various metal products
Evaluate products’ material properties to ensure adherence to strict specifications
Optimize processing capabilities through use of continuous improvement principles
Model and optimize material process flow through production to improve on time delivery
Contribute to the research, design, and selection of tooling, fixturing and gauging to be used in the manufacturing process
Oversee equipment modifications, upgrades, and automation
Help to lead a Zero Injury Culture through actions and developing safe job procedures
Authority to perform all tasks/activities responsible for
Basic Qualifications
Experience with Deep Drawing, Metal Spinning, Flowforming, or any other coldworking process.
Minimum five years’ experience working in engineering in the manufacturing industry
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering
Experience working with 2D and/or 3D Solid works software
Skilled In
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to interpret technical drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Knowledge of metals and materials
Knowledge of manufacturing processes including Flowforming, Deep drawing, Metal Spinning, CNC Machining, Non-Destructive Testing and Mechanical Testing
Experience working in an AS9100 facility
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask with a high attention to detail
Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
