The Floating Lead Pool Technician is primarily responsible for inspections and assessment of the community pools at our family and senior communities throughout Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, and Clark County metropolitan. This position ensures the functionality, cleanliness, and safety of the facilities to provide a pleasant and safe swimming environment
In addition, this position is responsible for training on-site staff in hands-on repair when practical. This role will involve travel between site locations and/or properties that will require timely arrival and transporting equipment and materials. Flexibility and adaptability to varying work environments is crucial to success in this position.
Essential Functions And Work Duties
The following essential functions of this position are performed personally and/or in coordination with other maintenance staff. Additional work functions and duties may be assigned.
Routine Responsibilities
Inspecting and assessing the condition of swimming pools and equipment
Performing regular cleaning and maintenance tasks such as vacuuming pools, skimming debris, and cleaning filters
Testing and adjusting pool water chemistry, including pH and chlorine levels
Identifying and repairing leaks or other issues with pool plumbing and filtration systems
Installing, maintaining, and repairing pool equipment and components such as pumps, filters, heaters, and lighting
Ensuring pool area safety by checking for and repairing any issues with pool edges, ladders, diving boards, and signage, etc.
Maintaining records of maintenance, repairs, and water tests
Ordering and replacing pool chemicals and equipment as needed
Adhering to all safety and health regulations and guidelines
Emergency Repairs
Respond promptly to maintenance requests related to pool issues.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems to determine the best course of action for repair.
Execute timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime.
System Installations
Repair in accordance with safety according to the CPO regulations and ordinance
Collaborate with contractors and other team members to ensure seamless installations.
Record Keeping
Maintain accurate records of work activities, repairs, and equipment inventory, PH levels, etc.
Provide regular updates to the maintenance supervisor on the status of pools and systems.
Assisting in the achievement of the property’s annual budget by monitoring pool related expenses.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws governing tenant/landlord relations including Fair Housing.
Follow company safety program.
Maintain hazard communication standards.
Notify the On-Site Manager of any supplies or parts necessary to complete the service requests.
Interact with residents in a positive manner.
Maintain a professional relationship with all staff members and vendors.
Maintain continuous communication with the leasing office staff.
Other Functions and Work Duties:
Performing other duties from time to time may be determined necessary for the well-being of the total operation.
Coordinate specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments to ensure the smooth and accurate flow of work and information.
Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed upon individual circumstances.

Education And/or Experience
Must be CPO certified with unexpired certification from an accredited program
Registered with the Southern Nevada Health District (after completing a national course
Minimum three (3) years’ experience as a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Technician handling repair, preferably in a multi-family setting.
Strong, hands-on experience and understanding of pool operations, be mechanically inclined, and have a strong attention to detail.
An ability to maintain a clean and safe pool environment, and ensure satisfaction and safety in all facilities
Water chemistry, pool water quality knowledge
A plus, operate a variety of hand and power tools, welder torch, vacuum pump, and other equipment utilized in the trade.
Pool regulatory compliance a must
Keeping daily logs and records of all work functions.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.
Ability to swim/wear a life vest

Physical Requirements
Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs. and constantly moving appliances and heavy machinery correctly and safely.
Climbing: frequently ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like, using feet, and legs and/or hands and arms.
Body agility is important: maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching.
Stooping: frequently bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
Kneeling: frequently bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee or knees.
Reaching: frequently extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction.
Handling: frequently seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands. Fingers are involved only to the extent that they are an extension of the hand, such as to turn a switch or shift automobile gears.
Hearing: ability to ascertain if equipment is working properly and to respond to alarms.
The worker is required to visual acuity to perform an activity such as operating machines such as power saws where seeing the job is at or within arm’s reach, performing mechanical or skilled trade tasks of a non-repetitive nature such as ones by carpenters, technicians, service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc.
The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.
The ability to swim and move around a pool/or wear a life vest that varies and are between 3 feet to no more than 5 feet deep.
