Specific Duties
- The Press Operator must align with our workplace's core values.
- Mark Andy or Nilpeter press experience is a plus.
- Reviewing job tickets and verifying stock, inks, and dies are available and used as specified.
- Sets up machine; installs anilox, inks, correct stock, die, and plates.
- Sets impressions and registers print-to-print and print-to-die.
- Loads the specified type of paper and adds ink
- Adjusts the press to the paper size and feeds the paper through the press cylinders
- Completes all start-up checks and gets start approval.
- Performs general maintenance to the press.
- Follows 5-S guidelines assigned to the work area and surrounding areas.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.). Requires at least five years of relevant experience in label press operation in a manufacturing environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Works in a manufacturing environment and must wear foot and/or other personal protective equipment while performing duties in a manufacturing setting. May continuously stand for an extended period and stoop and kneel frequently. May handle, feel, and reach for items in and around the press area, also write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking, lifting, and moving up to 50 lbs. may be required. Vision: Close vision, distance, and color vision distinguish color variations, peripheral and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually medium to loud. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. Must be able to work overtime as required by workload and customer-mandated deadlines. The physical demands described above represent those that an employee must meet successfully to perform this job's essential punctually.
