Saint Paul College seeks energetic and dedicated individuals to apply for one fixed term, full-time (1.0) Healthcare Instructor position. This position will work directly for Workforce Training and Continuing Education, the non-credit division of Saint Paul College. Assignments may include some combination of day, evening, online, Saturday, and/or off-campus classes.
Instructor is responsible for:
* Provide classroom instruction, evaluate and advise students.
* Maintain curriculum, and all other aspects of the training program required by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH)
* Participate in MDH meetings or trainings, and be active in state wide nursing assistant training organizations
* Maintain technical knowledge in the field through active participation in professional development organizations and events.
* Promote and recruit programs within and outside of the College.
* Promote diversity and cultural competency.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Workforce Training and Continuing Education.
Salary Range: $43,067 to $71,893 (Salary and benefits will be based on the collective bargaining agreement between Minnesota State College Faculty (MSCF) and the State of Minnesota. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.)
Minimum Requirements:
* Diploma or associate degree in nursing.
* Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience of direct patient care, one year must be in long term care.
* One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
* Current Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Preferred Qualification
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing;
* Previous teaching experience in nursing or nursing assistant programs; including Phlebotomy, Health Unit Coordinator, CNA, CPR and BLS;
* Experience in curriculum development;
* Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in education and the workplace.
