We are seeking a Firmware Engineer to take full responsibility for developing a compute module onboard autonomous POD taxis. This role requires hands-on experience with Linux-based systems, hardware interfacing, and system integration.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and be self-driven, capable of managing entire system development with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Linux-based programs for data communication and interfacing with PCI bus hardware.
- Implement cloud data communication protocols and software version control (Git).
- Integrate embedded hardware and single-board compute systems into the POD taxi platform.
- Design and implement AI applications specific to the POD taxi (minor focus).
- Focus on CAN communication protocols for integration with EV powertrain systems.
- Organize and manage the development process using tools such as Git, Microsoft/Google Office suites.
- Collaborate with vendors and perform on-site testing as needed. Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience with Linux-based compute boards and system integration.
- Proficient in C/C++, Python, and relevant scripting languages.
- Experience with Nvidia Jetson, Raspberry Pi, or similar single-board computers.
- Solid understanding of CAN communication protocols and their integration into the Electric Vehicle system is a plus
- Knowledge of low-level communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, etc.
- Ability to debug and troubleshoot using oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other standard electrical equipment.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Familiarity with PCB design and schematics development (advantageous but not required).
- Experience with edge-AI application development for embedded systems is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with PCI bus hardware interfacing. Personal Attributes:

- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple aspects of the development lifecycle.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Willingness to travel on-site for testing and vendor visits.
