We are hiring an experienced and reliable Fire Security Officer for an overnight shift at an engineering facility focused on engines and powertrain systems. This is a long-term opportunity for someone with a security background who takes initiative and can work independently. The role involves minimal building patrols and is primarily focused on fire prevention and inspection duties.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled fire inspections throughout the facility, including checks on doors, valves, pumps, and fire extinguishers.

• Monitor fire detection and suppression systems, including alarms and control panels.

• Respond to fire alarms and initiate appropriate emergency protocols.

• Ensure all fire safety equipment is in proper working order and report deficiencies.

• Complete required documentation for all inspections, incidents, and nightly activity.

• Perform light patrols to check for safety hazards and unauthorized access.

• Work independently and stay on task without direct supervision.

• Support evacuation and emergency procedures when necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Valid driver’s license required.

• Prior experience in security or fire watch is required.

• Strong understanding of fire prevention systems and use of fire extinguishers.

• Self-motivated with the ability to stay productive during quiet shifts.

• Dependable and interested in long-term employment.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.

• Ability to walk, stand, and perform light physical tasks throughout the shift.

Work Environment

• Industrial engineering setting with mechanical and testing equipment.

• Indoors and outdoors; moderate exposure to noise and machinery.
