Learn more: www.esccontrols.com ESC is currently looking for a dynamic Fire Systems Programmer to help us grow our Fire/Life Safety Solutions business in the Connecticut region. Responsibilities Include but not limited to: * Collaborate with domain experts to develop cutting-edge fire simulation algorithms that accurately model fire behavior, spread, and interaction with structures and environments. * Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational/product manuals. * Integrate fire simulation software with existing industry-standard tools and platforms, ensuring compatibility and ease of use for end-users. * Create clear and comprehensive technical documentation, including user guides and API documentation, to facilitate effective use of the software. * Work closely with a cross-functional team, including engineer and product managers, to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines. * Troubleshoot and resolve issues with minimal supervision on fire alarm systems including ground faults, shorts, opens and unconfigured devices. * Gamewell FCI certified programmer preferred. * Low voltage electrical license preferred. Qualifications Include: * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. * Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. * Works well in a team environment. * Prior experience in developing software or working on related projects is preferred.
