Following the recent opening of our newly curated retail space, we’re seeking a passionate and dynamic Fine Jewelry Sales & Operations Associate to join our team and contribute to our continued success.


Position Overview

We are looking for a polished and enthusiastic individual who thrives in a luxury retail environment and is eager to support the day-to-day operations of a small business. In addition to delivering an exceptional client experience, you will play a key role in opening and closing the store, managing administrative tasks, supporting inventory management, assisting with social media engagement, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace and retail sales floor. This is a dynamic position ideal for someone who is organized, tech-savvy, and passionate about fine jewelry and client service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and engage clients with warmth and professionalism, offering expert guidance and product knowledge.


  • Provide personalized style recommendations to ensure a memorable and luxurious shopping experience.


  • Open and close the store independently, following established security and operational procedures.


  • Opening hours begin at 9:00 AM to prepare the store for a 10:00 AM opening.


  • Closing procedures begin at 5:00 PM, with store closing at 5:00 PM and end-of-day tasks completed by 5:30 PM.


  • Manage daily administrative tasks, including handling paperwork, filing, and organizing client records.


  • Accurately process sales transactions and maintain organized sales reports and documentation.


  • Assist with inventory management, receiving shipments, restocking merchandise, and conducting stock audits.


  • Support visual merchandising efforts to ensure displays reflect the brand’s aesthetic and remain organized.


  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized workspace and retail sales floor at all times.


  • Stay informed on jewelry trends, materials, and new collections to provide expert advice.


  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships, encouraging repeat business and referrals.


  • Assist in coordinating special orders, repairs, and custom design projects, ensuring timely follow-up and communication.


  • Support social media efforts by assisting with content creation and engagement to enhance brand visibility.


Qualifications

  • Prior experience in luxury retail sales, fine jewelry, or high-end fashion preferred.


  • Strong organizational and administrative skills; able to manage paperwork and daily operations efficiently.


  • Proficient in technology, including point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, and office programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Google Workspace).


  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) and ability to assist with content creation and engagement.


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused, professional demeanor.


  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.


  • Passion for fine jewelry, fashion, and design, with a strong understanding of product presentation.


  • Knowledge of gemstones, precious metals, and fine jewelry craftsmanship is a plus.


  • Detail-oriented with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.


  • Professional appearance and polished presentation consistent with a luxury retail environment.


  • High school diploma required; college coursework or relevant certifications in retail, fashion, jewelry, business administration, or marketing are a plus.


  • Flexibility to work Saturdays and holidays as needed.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: $23.00 – $26.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Work Schedule

  • Expected Hours: 24 – 32 per week


  • Employee Hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM


  • Store Hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM


Location

  • In-person at our Darien, CT boutique.


  • Conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the Darien train station.


  • Reliable transportation is required. Relocation assistance is not provided.
