We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to support a wide range of donor relations, event planning, and administrative activities within a vibrant Jewish community organization. This role is central to managing event registration processes, updating and maintaining donor databases, generating reports, and coordinating communications with both donors and community members. Additional responsibilities include contributing to Federation events, supporting Women’s Philanthropy initiatives, and assisting with operations related to the Jewish Press.
The successful candidate will bring strong organizational and interpersonal skills, a solid command of Microsoft Office and CRM/database tools, and at least two years of experience in an office environment. A bachelor’s degree is required. The position involves light physical duties, including occasional lifting and mobility for event prep and office tasks. This role reports to the Chief Development & Engagement Officer and collaborates closely with senior leadership and various departments to help advance the organization’s mission.
Essential Job Functions
Maintain registration records for all events using database software.
Help prepare for and attend Federation events and be responsible for the registration portion of the event and all other areas as needed.
Heavy contact with Federation donors including personal contact, phone calls and emails.
Create gift card (donation cards) throughout the year.
Prepare various reports from donor management system including all active donors, major donors, young adult donors and board meetings.
Sign and assist in mailing monthly balance statements sent to donors. Create and mail holiday cards to major donors for Rosh Hashanah, Chanukah and Passover.
Update Constant Contact database with Federation constituents on a monthly basis.
Attend staff meetings as necessary.
Work with accounting department to help organize donor/event participant’s registration/donations.
Actively involved with Women’s Philanthropy including preparing directory of donors and assisting with planning women philanthropy events.
Assist CEO of the JCCs, Exec Director of JCCs, in conjunction with their assistant.
Prepare and send out e-newsletter blasts as needed.
Work with the editor of the Jewish Press as the point of contact for advertisers and subscribers.
Actively involved with the Jewish Press including the management of mailing lists and updating of subscriber and advertiser records.
Perform additional duties as necessary.
Position Requirements

Skills necessary: research, knowledge of Microsoft Office, database usage experience, responsible and outgoing, able to effectively communicate with JCC & Federation constituents, knowledge of using office equipment including copier and postage machine.
Education necessary: Bachelor’s degree
Years of experience: minimum of 2 years office experience
Physical Requirements
Lifting, pushing and pulling up to 10 pounds using proper body mechanics and/or available equipment as physically required—including but not limited to moving supplies and office furniture etc.
Physical stamina – must be able to bend, kneel, and squat as required to maintain files and records, etc.
Must be able to sit at a desk in an office environment at least 80% of the work shift. Ability to walk and standing intermittently for the remaining 20% of the assigned work day.
Work is mainly performed in a weather controlled, air conditioned/heated facility. Facility is well lit and has minimal obstacles.
Position uses typical office environment apparatus including computer, printer, fax machine and copier.
