To learn more about Vetamac visit our website : https://www.vetamac.com/ Financial Controller at Vetamac The scope of the role includes all companies under the control of Vetamac Group LLC, hereinafter referred to as the Companies. Provide financial leadership to internal and external business partners focused on the production of appropriate, accurate, and timely financial information, while ensuring effective management of financial and administrative operations in compliance with applicable regulations and in accordance with company policies. What to expect in this role Financial Statements and Other Periodic Reports · Compile, analyze, and oversee the recording of the Companies' accounting and financial operations. · Analyze GL accounts in accordance with month-end procedures in the SAGE system and make necessary corrections through journal entries. · Prepare and present the company’s monthly and annual financial statements, including the balance sheet and other financial information documents. · Establish and maintain activity-based accounting according to operational and management needs. · Analyze and interpret financial statements, submit recommendations, and ensure the dissemination of financial information. · Define and produce monthly key performance indicators (KPIs) to support decision-making and operational control. · Produce ad-hoc analyses for the benefit of the Companies' managers. · Ensure the completion of audits (review engagements) and year-end audits, as well as other audits required by government authorities. Budget · Define and coordinate the budgeting process on an annual, five-year, or forecasted basis. Support senior management in the process. · Prepare master budget files to be distributed to the different departments. · Provide financial support to all department heads for budget monitoring and analysis of current expenses using reports and monthly meetings. Analyses · Coordinate the financial planning process. · Ensure inventories are properly accounted for and valued in the financial system. · Monitor and update the components and variables of the cost price. · Highlight the main discrepancies identified through variance analyses and work with department heads to address and/or explain the identified variations. Treasury · Oversee the company’s treasury activities. Manage cash flow, AR and AP ratios, payroll, taxes, etc. · Assist the general manager in seeking financing and managing relationships with the bank. Internal Controls · Ensure the implementation and compliance with internal control processes and policies, and introduce corrective measures when necessary. · Advise management on financial management and administrative procedure issues. Administrative Management · Manage the company’s overall administration. · Develop and implement an effective and adequate administrative management system. Team Management · Supervise, coordinate, and guide the activities of the team under the best possible safety and working conditions, with a focus on achieving the assigned missions and objectives. Contribute to the professional development of team members. Related Activities · Organize and contribute to periodic Finance Committee meetings. · Integrate the accounting of new companies resulting from acquisitions and/or mergers. · Prepare files for grant applications and other credits. · Optimize the ERP system and financial information management tools. What you need to succeed : 1. Required Qualifications · Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and recognized accounting designation · 5 years of experience in Accounting/Finance · Advanced proficiency in Excel · Knowledge of SAGE or another accounting system 2.
