Reports to: GM/Regional Director of Finance and Accounting
This role is responsible for the financial control framework of the dealership as well as the overall performance and efficiency of the Accounting department. This Management role is responsible for ongoing planning and collaboration with other department leaders; executing on objectives, goals and growth strategies; ensuring compliance with process and procedures; motivating and coaching team members for performance; improving efficiencies; driving sales and championing financial controls.
The Controller is required to analyze new and ongoing situations and collaborate with department managers to support planning and control activities required to prepare monthly financial statements. To be successful in their role, the Controller must be an effective communicator, able to work with managers from a broad range of other disciplines. Information must be conveyed to other managers in a simple, straightforward manner.Much of the controller’s work involves being a change leader,consulting, business analysis and advising others within the organization.

Key Accountabilities & Objectives:
Provide leadership, training and direction to the accounting department personnel to ensure attainment of business objectives
Preparation and timely submission of monthly financial statements
Develop and monitor reports to manage the health & profitability of the department and it’s team
Implement standardized accounting practices and processes and ensure consistent accountability and compliance
Aid in workforce management and backfilling important roles when necessary including deal posting
Manage and oversee financial controls of the dealerships in all accounting areas including monthly statement generation, journal entries, reconciliations and remittances, accounts and management of ongoing audit compliance and other projects and initiatives as needed
Provide leadership, training and coaching to Accounting staff members
Develop and monitor reports to manage the health & profitability of the departments and its team reporting results and recommendations to dealership managers
Manage integration of new processes, special projects, and onboarding of new employees as required
Manage frozen capital
Maintain a positive OEM relationship
Collaborate with Manager(s) in producing Annual Forecasting
Plans and develops short- and long-term goals and objectives with time projections
