An experienced Controller is sought by my client. This is a permanent hire (not a contract). Your talent will lead the accounting team for the largest up-scale supplier to national home-builders. Perform a variety of responsibilities, for example:

• Orchestrate the daily accounting/finance operations (AR, AP, GL, payroll, etc.)
• Produce accurate, timely financial reports (including consolidation of Mexico operations, hence the need for Spanish proficiency)
• Oversee risk management, insurance and compliance programs.
• Job Costing and WIP. Cost margin analysis.
• Assess and improve ERP and IT systems. Track KPIs. Harness Business Intelligence.
• Accomplish the closing process (month, quarter, annual).
• Budgeting. Forecasting.
• Coordinate with external CPA, regarding tax, and audit.
• 7 direct reports
• Achieve efficiencies, maximize profits.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (additional credentials are a plus)
• Bi-lingual (Spanish/English)
• Agreeable to onsite work in Pomona AND bi-monthly travel to Tijuana, Mexico.
• Skilled at business intelligence (KPI tracking) and financial analysis to guide business decisions.
• Experience performing a wide spectrum of accounting duties, including job costing and WIP. Comfortable and capable of hands-on technical accounting; command of daily details. Exceptional analytical skills.
• GAAP knowledge, including revenue recognition.
• Technology savvy, including Excel and accounting software. Preferably having experience with ERP conversions and SQL skills.
• Management experience.
• Industry experience relevant to manufacturing sub-contractors.
