Position Description Summary:
The Financial Analyst supports the analysis and evaluation of financial plans for transportation projects, especially in the transit domain. The role focuses on supporting the development of financial models, conducting funding analyses, and preparing documentation in alignment with FTA requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the review and development of transportation project financial models.
• Conduct financial forecasting and perform evaluations of funding strategies.
• Support data compilation and sensitivity analysis efforts.
• Aid in the assessment of capital and O&M cost and revenue structures.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and documentation for government stakeholders.
• Help ensure compliance with FTA capital investment program requirements.
• Provide general planning and analytical support to senior staff.
Required Skills:
o Some experience in transportation project financial planning or evaluation.
o Must have familiarity with transit finance and FTA programs.
o Strong data analysis, organizational, and communication skills.
o Proven ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
o Must have experience in transit-related projects and public sector finance.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Transportation, Urban Planning, or a related field (required).
Clearance:
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or other applicable federal clearance.
