Description

We are looking for a skilled Financial Analyst II to join our team in Mendota Heights , Minnesota. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to perform in-depth financial analysis and contribute to strategic decision-making by interpreting data and evaluating investment opportunities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in financial principles, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate complex information.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed spreadsheets, charts, and graphs to support technical reports and presentations.
  • Conduct thorough financial analyses to forecast economic and business trends, aiding in investment decision-making.
  • Evaluate and interpret data related to investment programs, including price, yield stability, and potential risks.
  • Prepare and communicate financial insights and reports to clients, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Monitor and analyze business trends to project future revenues, expenses, and market conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, as well as accounting standards and regulations.
  • Utilize financial software and tools, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, to streamline reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to perform ad hoc financial analyses as needed.
  • Stay informed on market trends, financial data, and investment strategies to provide actionable recommendations.
  • Support the development and optimization of financial processes and procedures.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with other financial software applications.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial markets, and economic trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial statements and project future business performance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on clarity and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and corporate regulations related to financial reporting and compliance.
