Job Summary
Gathers information for and generates ongoing financial reports. Prepares journal entries. Assists with financial planning, modeling, and operating budgets. Supports management with special projects.
Essential Functions Of The Role
- Under general supervision, prepares monthly utilization reports in a timely manner to identify unusual trends.
- Assists in preparing and presenting relevant data in a timely, accurate, and user-friendly format, such as sub-reports, charts, and graphs.
- Prepares financial reports to inform departments about their financial status and update management on Baylor Scott and White Health's financials. This includes collecting and preparing data from appropriate sources. Identifies unusual trends or issues and resolves problems or discrepancies as needed. Additionally, the financial analyst prepares reports or presents data in a timely, accurate, and user-friendly format, such as sub-reports, charts, or graphs.
- Supports the monthly accounting close out process by preparing and reviewing journal entry information.
- Provides support to higher-level financial analysts during the annual budget preparation. This includes collecting data for effective budgets. These budgets cover projected costs of staffing, equipment, and supplies needed for quality and safe patient care. The financial analyst will also collect data required by state and federal regulations and outside agencies.
- Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.

- Proficiency with MS Office applications required.

- EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
- EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
