Site Financial Project Analyst (Financial Analyst & Cost Accountant)

Our Space & Defense Group in Gilbert, AZ is hiring for a Site Financial Project Analyst (Financial Analyst & Cost Accountant)

The Site Financial Project Analyst (Financial Analyst & Cost Accountant) reports to the Gilbert Site Finance Manager in the Space and Defense Group. This individual will be responsible for the preparation, reporting, and forecasting for the site and various business units. In addition, this individual will provide financial support to various initiatives and projects across the site.

The position will be responsible for the following...

  • Financial reporting for the site and program cost control for multiple projects
  • Assist with the monthly and quarterly accounting close procedures
  • Monitoring direct labor utilization and indirect rate performance vs. targets
  • Develop the annual sales plan for the business unit, monitoring performance to the plan, and preparing updated sales forecasts
  • Assess and report on the profitability and cash flow performance of the business unit making the appropriate recommendations to help achieve the overall strategic financial growth
  • Responsible for financial analysis on several long-term programs, which include analyzing actual costs incurred, preparing estimates to complete, and utilizing sound judgment to assess profitability of the programs
  • Responsible for the accounting on these programs (i.e. sales, cost, inventory, and invoicing)
  • Effectively communicate program cost and status to all levels of the Group’s management structure, internal customers, and internal/external auditors.
  • Participate in the Sites’s annual budget process, and will be involved in developing departmental budgets and profit and loss statements and balance sheets
  • Support the Site’s financial forecasting process and participate in other financial accounting projects

Minimum Requirements To Be Considered…

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance (MBA or MS Accounting desired)
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • 7+ years working experience in the areas of financial accounting and reporting
  • Strong knowledge in Financial and US GAAP principles
  • Experience building strategic working relationships
  • Experience in a Lean manufacturing environment a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills

Salary Range Transparency

Phoenix, AZ $80,000.00–$120,000.00 Annually

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
