Job Title: Financial Advisor
Position Location: Raleigh, NC. Hybrid role. Must live locally.
Your Impact
The Financial Advisor will assist members in identifying their financial needs and goals through a comprehensive financial planning process. Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing data to produce a tailor-made recommendation of suitable insurance and investment product that will enable members to make informed decisions that align with their short-term and long-term financial objectives.
You will be an employee of Coastal and a dual employee/agent of CUSO Financial Services, L.P. (CFS). Securities industry licenses are held by CFS.
The Contributions You Can Anticipate Making
- (10%) Develop and implement an annual business plan to engage branches and other partners as part of practice management strategy. Ensure high visibly in the branches you are assigned to maintain a strong collaborative referral process.
- (30%) Using our approved sales process as you meet with members to identify their financial needs, goals, and plans. Then, based on your financial plans and analyses, preparing, and presenting your recommendations for the purchase of appropriate insurance and/or investment products to meet the members' needs
- (30%) Retaining your clients by meeting with them at least annually to review their goals, needs, and any changes to their situations or the products and services available to them.
- (10%) Lead/Present in-branch seminars, actively participate in live member webinars and Coastal employee training events to provide financial education and financial planning services.
- (20%) Collaborating in partnership with branches, Select Employer Groups (SEGs), other advisory team members, Financial Planner, and the departmental support personnel to meet the financial planning needs of our members/clients.

Experience
- Two years of sales or advisory experience in the securities brokerage, advisory, or insurance fields
Education
- Four-year degree in Business, Finance, or Insurance or additional two years of experience in lieu of degree
- FINRA series 7, 63/65 (or 66) licenses
- NC Life, Long-term Care Insurance, and Medicate Supplement licenses
- Certified Financial Planner® designation preferred
