Introduction to the Position

A PE-backed Austrian business is seeking a Finance Transformation Manager to lead the automation and end-to-end transformation of its finance and accounting operations. In this high-impact role, you will work closely with the Accounting team to redesign workflows, implement cutting-edge RPA and AI technologies, and drive the shift toward fully automated, real-time finance processes. This is a strategic role that sits at the intersection of finance and technology, ideal for a candidate who can combine deep accounting knowledge with a strong technical skillset. You’ll play a pivotal role in integrating ERP systems, streamlining operations, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement within a fast-paced, growth-oriented business.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the automation of core finance processes including journal entries, month-end close, and account reconciliations
• Collaborate with accounting stakeholders to map existing workflows and identify automation opportunities
• Implement RPA tools and AI-driven solutions to eliminate manual tasks and improve data accuracy
• Integrate cloud ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite) with RPA platforms, OCR engines, and data pipelines
• Define and enforce data governance standards and internal controls across automated processes
• Manage agile project delivery, including sprint planning, issue resolution, and stakeholder engagement
• Monitor automation performance using dashboards and real-time reporting tools, continuously optimising process efficiency
• Provide training and change management support to ensure adoption across finance teams

Desired Qualifications

• Strong background in both finance/accounting and IT, with experience leading finance transformation projects
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and cloud-based financial platforms
• Proficiency in RPA technologies (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or similar)
• Working knowledge of scripting and data handling tools such as SQL and Python
• Experience with AI-driven document processing and automation of financial workflows
• Familiarity with data governance, audit trail requirements, and IFRS compliance
• Proven ability to manage complex integrations and deliver results in a dynamic, agile environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge finance and IT
