Bawinanga Homelands Aboriginal Corporation (BHAC) is seeking a capable Finance Officer to join their Darwin based team and support essential community and financial operations.
This is a meaningful role for someone who wants to contribute to an organisation making a difference across the homelands of the Maningrida region. BHAC is a respected not-for-profit corporation serving over 30 homelands and managing more than 50 government grants and a range of community businesses. Their work spans essential services, housing, employment programs, cultural centres, and retail operations.
As Finance Officer, you’ll join a collaborative and supportive finance team and work under the guidance of the Finance Manager. Your role will focus on accounts payable and receivable, financial reconciliations, invoice management, and accurate data entry across BHAC’s finance systems, including Xero and Approval Max.
You will be involved in preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, processing reimbursements, supporting month-end procedures and assisting with recordkeeping related to grants and milestones. The role also supports payroll processing during staff absences, offering variety and the chance to grow your finance capability.
