Title: Finance Manager

Location: New York, NY

Altum Consulting is excited to be partnered with a leading media company who are currently searching for their new Finance Manager. Based in New York, our client has worked with some of the best-known brands around the world over the past 50 years. This critical role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial reporting and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Main responsibilities include:

• Responsible for all consolidated FP&A deliverables, you will oversee the consolidation and preparation of accurate financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual), ensuring US GAAP compliance.
• Manage the financial close, ensuring timely and accurate submission and presentation of consolidated financials, budgets and forecasts.
• Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts for budgeting, planning, and strategic initiatives.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and performance benchmarking to identify opportunities for improvement and provide practical insights to local office and global leadership.

• Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Set performance goals and provide regular feedback to team members.
• Develop and implement a consistent client profitability reporting framework, including defining key metrics, establishing data collection processes, and selecting appropriate software or tools.

The successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, and/or related fields.
• 7+ years of experience in the progression of client finance or accounting positions with a focus on project accounting and client profitability.
• Experience with Power BI, project management and timesheet reporting systems preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP reporting requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at influencing internal stakeholders at all levels.
