About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Accountant to lead the financial operations and compliance functions for all our branches across India. This strategic leadership role demands expertise in financial management, taxation, private equity fundraising, and venture capital processes, along with knowledge of compliance in both Indian and U.S. financial systems.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in corporate finance, regulatory compliance, and financial planning, as well as experience in handling private equity and venture capital fundraising along with the associated tax filings in India and the USA.
Key Responsibilities:1. Financial Strategy & Management
- Lead financial health monitoring of multi-branch operations across India.
- Develop and implement risk management, cost-optimization, and growth strategies.
- Present timely financial statements, budgets, and performance reports to leadership.
- Maintain investment planning, working capital control, and liquidity strategies.
2. Private Equity and Venture Capital Fundraising
- Manage and support private equity and VC fundraising activities, including due diligence and investor coordination.
- Ensure compliance with necessary tax filing requirements related to these fundraising activities in India and the USA.
- Liaise with legal and compliance teams to ensure proper documentation, reporting, and regulatory adherence for investment transactions.
3. Financial Reporting & Audit
- Ensure adherence to Ind AS, IFRS, and other accounting standards in financial reporting.
- Supervise internal audits and coordinate with external auditors for statutory audits.
- Manage timely tax filing, GST compliance, and corporate tax planning across all entities.
4. Multi-Branch Financial Operations
- Standardize financial systems and policies across locations.
- Analyze branch-wise financial performance and suggest improvements.
- Lead branch-level financial governance and risk controls.
5. Leadership & Team Management
- Mentor and lead a team of finance professionals across locations.
- Collaborate with leadership and department heads to align financial practices with business goals.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant qualification is mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate finance and multi-branch financial oversight.
- Proven experience in private equity or VC fundraising and related tax filings (India & USA).
- In-depth knowledge of Indian taxation (Direct and Indirect), GST, Ind AS, IFRS.
- Experience in budgeting, financial modeling, forecasting, and compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and advanced Excel tools.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and leadership capabilities.
- Knowledge of company registration processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to capital markets, M&A, or investment banking.
- Background in financial restructuring and strategic financial planning.
- Understanding of RBI guidelines, FEMA, FDI policy, and corporate governance.
