Key Responsibilities
- Manage the process for consolidation and compilation of the overall business P&L and full cycle accounting processes, including customer invoicing and collections, monthly forecasting, financial reporting and analysis, and corporate accounting compliance.
- Analyze monthly results to provide insights into forecast variances, key performance indicators/ratios, AR risk, customer MRR, and financial statement trends. Run a monthly financial review call to provide the management team with clear insights and ensure updates are communicated in a timely manner.
- Partner closely with the Senior Leadership Team and key functional group leaders within the business units to support them in developing their strategic plans and monthly and 5-year forecasts. Work with sales on MRR forecasting; IT on Azure COGS forecasting and department leaders on OPEX forecasting. Take ownership of the forecasting cycle and proactively update based on business changes discussed during monthly management calls.
- Run a disciplined AR management process and ensure collection risk is minimized. The management team's expectations will include weekly calls, timely escalation of troubled accounts, and assessment of collection trends on monthly revenue.
- Support the GM and management team in preparing material for quarterly strategic reviews and actively participate in the review.
- Participate in monthly management calls and provide the team with strategic financial advice and insights on key economic trends.
- Supervise a team of 5 offshore staff accountants located in the Contour (Pakistan) office. Regularly meet to provide coaching, feedback, and goal setting.
- With curiosity, proactively identify new investigation areas or improvement opportunities.
- Ad hoc projects are desired or requested by senior management.
Technical and Educational Qualifications
- A university degree in accounting, CPA, or equivalent designation is required.
- Total 10 years of experience; a minimum of 7 years of accounting compliance and controllership experience, and a minimum of 3 years of F&PA experience
- Experience with managing or supervising offshore teams is required
- Ability to manage and prioritize competing deliverables in a high-growth environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills is required
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including advanced use of Excel workbooks and PowerPoint, is required
- Experience with Great Plains, Microsoft F&O, OneStream, or similar ERP and EPM systems is a plus.
- Financial knowledge in the software / IT field, specifically with financial operations and accounting guidelines, is required.
- A strong understanding of accounting guidelines, particularly IFRS.
