Summary

Job Title: Finance Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Financial Operations and Reporting:
  • Deliver comprehensive financial services to assigned Business Units.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, develop annual budgets, create monthly forecasts, and perform variance analyses.
  • Policy Compliance and Auditing:
  • Ensure adherence to company and business units financial policies, internal controls, and procedures.
  • Oversee Business unit audits and manage timely submission of tax filings.
  • State and Federal Compliance:
  • Develop expertise in financial management specific to assigned states.
  • File all required state and statutory financial reports.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Serve as a financial advisor to charter or district partners, boards, and officers.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and guidance as needed.
  • Project Leadership:
  • Act as project manager for local and corporate financial initiatives, coordinating efforts across departments to achieve objectives.
  • Funding and Grants:
  • Prepare applications and submissions for state and federal funding programs.
  • Respond to funding audits, prepare interim financial reports, and pursue additional grant and funding opportunities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage a small team of 1-2 employees.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of senior-level financial analysis experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
  • Expertise in ERP systems, particularly in financial applications (Oracle ERP experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Exceptional analytical and research capabilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Other Requirements:

  • Ability to successfully pass a background check.
