Lead the company’s budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
Monitor company performance against financial goals, KPIs, and growth projections.
Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on company financials to the CFO and executive team.
Analyze revenue streams from trading fees, AUM (assets under management), subscription models, or yield-generating investment products.
2. Accounting and Reporting
Oversee general accounting functions, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and reconciliations of fiat and crypto accounts.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and applicable international standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP).
Work closely with auditors and accounting advisors to manage year-end audits and ensure crypto asset accounting practices are aligned with evolving regulations.
3. Crypto Asset Management
Track and reconcile cryptocurrency holdings, wallets, and transactions across exchanges and custody solutions.
Implement internal processes to monitor market valuations, realized/unrealized gains, and treasury strategies.
Ensure appropriate valuation methods and fair value accounting are used for digital assets.
4. Risk Management & Internal Controls
Design and enforce strong financial controls and risk mitigation procedures, including approval workflows, crypto custody policies, and segregation of duties.
Support the development of compliance-friendly financial infrastructure to support KYC/AML requirements, investor reporting, and taxation obligations.
5. Strategic Support and Business Analysis
Partner with the CEO, CFO, and product teams to provide financial modeling and business case support for new product launches or strategic initiatives.
Contribute to investor presentations, fundraising financials, and board-level reporting.
Analyze cost structures and suggest optimization strategies to improve gross margins and operational efficiency.
6. Taxation and Regulatory Compliance
Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure appropriate handling of crypto-related tax matters, including capital gains, staking rewards, or airdrops.
Stay current on global crypto financial regulations and provide guidance on their financial implications.
Prepare reports and documentation for tax filings, regulatory agencies, and financial institutions.
Qualifications & SkillsEducation:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred.
Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
Experience:
5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, ideally within fintech, crypto, or asset management.
Experience handling financial operations involving digital assets (Bitcoin, Ethereum, stablecoins, etc.) is highly desirable.
Prior work in a startup or high-growth environment is a plus
