Studio Bondy Architecture, a WBE, SBE, is a small, well-respected practice located in Oakland’s Jack London Square. The firm specializes in unique learning environments and educational design and has led design on independent and charter school campuses across Northern California. We are currently seeking an experienced Finance and Operations Director to join our team. Though part-time, this position is crucial to the day-to-day operations and the long-term planning for the firm. We seek someone who will count pennies but also will poke their head up and see the forest through the trees, helping to manage how those pennies are spent.

The part-time Finance & Operations Director will possess the following skills and experience:

• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Quick Books proficiency
• Project Management Software experience – specifically BQE Core a plus
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Operations and office management experience

Prior experience in an architectural firm a plus, but not required. Preference given to those who have worked in a professional services firm.

Duties will include:

• Weekly Bill Payments
• Monthly Project Tracking and Invoicing
• Process client payments and Bank deposits.
• Bank and Credit Card Reconciliation
• Manage Bi-Weekly Payroll and 401(k)
• Purchasing office supplies and managing office repairs as needed
• Maintain project records
• Maintain expense records
• Annual insurance applications
• Operations and Facilities management
• Coordinate with Landlord, cleaners, and other tenants
• Coordinate with HR Consultant
• Ad hoc reporting and assistance to Partners as requested
• Annual coordination with CPA

This position will be part-time, approximately 20-24 hours per week, with a salary and benefits commensurate with the candidate’s experience. The pay rate for this position, with approximately 10-13 years of related experience, generally ranges between $65-$75 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the California Pay Transparency Law.
