Job Title: Survey Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Field Survey Technician to join a field crew for a seasonal position from May - December. This role involves working on construction sites for residential developments within the metro area, assisting with data collection, boundary staking, and general site tasks. The position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the surveying industry, working alongside a team of 4-5 individuals.
Responsibilities
* Assist in collecting data and staking out boundaries on construction sites.
* Support the field crew in various site tasks.
* Work collaboratively with a team to ensure accurate and timely project completion.
Essential Skills
* 0-1 years of experience in construction, surveying, or land surveying.
* Basic knowledge of land surveying techniques.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Prior experience as a survey technician or on construction sites is preferred but not required.
* Familiarity with AutoCAD or surveying equipment is advantageous.
Work Environment
The role involves working outdoors 90-95% of the time, requiring comfort with various weather conditions. Work hours typically start at 7:00am and end around 5:30 or 6:00pm, depending on job requirements. The team will gather at the office in the morning and travel to job sites in a company truck. The job involves working in areas with heavy earthwork, and the candidate should be comfortable in such environments.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
