I. Job Summary
Under moderate supervision and working closely with Transfer Station management, the Third-Party Relations Coordinator is responsible for quality control inspections on third-party sub-contractors and safety observations of customers using WM facilities, including the planning, coordination, and execution of projects related to facility improvement, facility inspections, housekeeping inspections, environmental inspections, and safety inspections. The job requires frequent/local travel using a WM-issued vehicle.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs safety observations at transfer stations operated by third-party partners
Help conduct safety meetings with WM Employee
Complete assigned inspections and assessments
Perform pre-EH&S Audits
Meet vendors/contractors for upcoming/ongoing projects
Lead and inspect third-party improvement projects
Provide training and validation certificates to WM Heavy Equipment Operators
New Hire Onboarding and Training
Perform lower-level site modifications
Use hand tools to perform facility maintenance
May fill in for Scalehouse Attendant or Heavy Equipment Operators when necessary
Other duties as assigned
III. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
Education: High School Diploma or GED (accredited) required.
Experience: 3 years of relevant work experience
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class C upon hire required.
Training Certification within 1 year preferred.
WM Heavy Equipment Operator Certification within 1 year preferred.
Scale Operation Certification within 1 year preferred.
Fast Lane Certification within 1 year.
IV. Work Environment
Combination: This job operates in a mix between an office environment and plant/field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc.
