We are now looking for a Field Support Specialist who is responsible for coordinating and executing farm trials for R&D Milk Quality Animal Health (MQAH). You also play an important role in the analysis and interpretation of large data sets pertaining to field trials.
Role And Responsibilities
As part of the role, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting farm visits to execute and monitor clinical trials, provide technical support, and develop solutions tailored to dairy operations. This includes planning, designing, and executing clinical trials focused on mastitis prevention and cleaning protocols. You will also prepare all necessary protocols and documentation for these trials and analyze large data sets using statistical software to support group initiatives and research outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical trial management: Plan, design, execute, and monitor clinical trials on dairy farms, including protocol preparation, farm visiting, data analysis, and documentation, with a focus on mastitis prevention and hygiene practices.
- Technical support & training: Provide technical support and training to the sales force and customers on DeLaval products, addressing usage, troubleshooting, and non-routine claims both online and on-site.
- Knowledge sharing & communication: Develop and deliver technical content such as newsletters, webinars, scientific papers, and seminars to share trial results, product knowledge, and industry best practices.
- Industry collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, investigators, and industry partners to support research, product validation, and innovation efforts.
- Product development contribution: Actively participate in product development and innovation by offering technical insights, field feedback, and support for new technology assessments and competitive analysis.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you:
- Hold a B.A./B.S. in Animal Science, Dairy Science, Veterinary Science, or a related field in agricultural management
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Have at least 2 years of practical experience in dairy farming, cow physiology, and milking systems
- Are fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Have experience using statistical and office software tools (e.g., SAS, R, MiniTab)
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office 365
- Have hands-on farm experience and a solid understanding of mastitis management and cleaning procedures for milking systems

Additional Information
This is a full-time permanent position based preferable at DeLaval’s headquarters in Tumba, south of Stockholm or in Ghent, Drongen. This position reports to the Clinical Field Research Manager, R&D Milk Quality and Animal Health (MQAH).
Ability to travel (nationally and internationally) up to 50% and work flexible hours is part of the position.
