About the role


Job Summary:

The Field Service Officer (FSO) is responsible for providing on-site and remote technical support, with a focus on Windows-based systems and end-user laptop support. This role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The FSO is also accountable for maintaining IT equipment, supporting deployments, and coordinating with other IT teams for seamless service delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site and remote support for Windows OS laptops, desktops, and related hardware (printers, monitors, docking stations, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows 10/11, Office 365, VPN, network connectivity, and standard software applications
  • Perform laptop provisioning, imaging, configuration, patching, and deployment using tools like Intune, SCCM, or similar
  • Assist users with account management, password resets, access issues (Active Directory, Azure AD)
  • Maintain IT asset records and update asset management databases after installs, moves, adds, or changes (IMACs)
  • Coordinate with the Service Desk and escalate issues as necessary to Level 2/3 support
  • Support scheduled upgrades, rollouts, and site moves for end-user devices
  • Educate users on best practices for IT usage, security, and system maintenance
  • Follow ITIL-aligned service management practices including incident, problem, and change management
