FULLTIME EMPLOYEMENT: Paid Hourly

Must Haves

  • 3 -5+ years of experience in Building Automation Systems Programming & Commissioning
  • Loading controllers
  • Configuring databases
  • Previous commercial or industrial HVAC experience
  • Ability to configure, set up or retrofit new systems
  • Strong computer skills
  • Basic computer networking
  • Ability to configure windows servers and databases
  • Ability to work independently 75% of the time
  • Ability to travel throughout the service area, with occasional overnight stays
  • Highschool diploma
  • Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to Honeywell

Plusses:

  • Niagara Tridium Certification
  • Technical Training & Building Automation Controls Experience
  • Can program more than one system Tridium, Niagara N4, Integrate 3rd party systems such as BACnet, LON, and Modbus on chillers, boilers, VFDs, generators, rooftop units (RTU), VRF, FAS, etc

Day to Day:

As a Senior Field Service Tech services the San Francisco area, you will play a critical role in providing advanced technical support and expertise for our customers in the Building Automation (BA) business unit. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems, ensuring the successful implementation of our solutions, and driving customer satisfaction. Your expertise and commitment to excellence will play a crucial role in the success of our field service operations and the growth of our business. You will report directly to our Field Service Engineering Manager, and you'll work at customer sites within a designated service area . In this role, you will impact the efficiency, productivity, and sustainability of our customers' buildings by providing exceptional technical support and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in on-site walk-throughs, formal commissioning, and customer demonstration/training on projects.
  • Provide onsite and offsite technical support during installation, start-up, commissioning, and turnover process. Complete programming and commissioning process
  • Oversee and/or assist with installation of controls systems to control Boilers, Chillers, Process Water Systems, RTUs, Air Handlers, etc
  • Run one-off problems, scenarios, and integrations based on the needs of the customer
  • Develop and program graphical displays to monitor and adjust mechanical systems operations (EBI Front End Command Control Interface)
  • Perform system back-ups and install appropriate updates and patches
  • Understand and apply knowledge of virtual machines, system imaging, and networking to serve the needs of the customers (may need to possess certifications)
  • Complete required documentation for work performed or other contractual obligations
  • Proper use of safety personal protection equipment
  • Security and other clearances as required by customer
  • Assist with design, estimating, and installation of various building auto


Compensation:

$28.50/hr to $34.80/hr.


Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.


Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
