A leader in high-performance coil processing system is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Field Service Technician. In this role, you’ll travel extensively across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico to install, troubleshoot, and maintain advanced industrial machinery. This is a hands-on position ideal for a mechanically inclined, independent problem-solver who thrives in dynamic environments and is looking to grow their career with a stable and respected organization.

Salary Range: $30 - $40 / hourly

Field Service Technician Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, and repair advanced electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Troubleshoot and interpret schematics for AC/DC systems and PLCs
• Perform precise diagnostics and repairs on coil processing equipment
• Assist in operator training for machinery usage and maintenance
• Travel 50-75% of the time, including overnight and occasional international trips
• Work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with internal teams as needed
• Ensure strict adherence to company safety protocols and client requirements
  
  

Field Service Technician Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2 years of industrial or manufacturing experience
• Strong electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret complex schematics and technical documentation
• Comfortable with heavy travel schedules
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently
• Familiarity with the steel industry or flat roll coil processing equipment is a plus
• Experience in industrial environments or manufacturing is a plus
• Familiarity with coil processing machinery and the steel industry
• Strong communication and customer service skills for operator training and client interaction
