Veolia is looking for a Field Service Engineer who is the first line service provider in driving service excellence as a market leader dedicated to solving the toughest water and process challenges. Role Summary/Purpose The Field Service Engineer is a professional service provider in the water treatment industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for on-site chemical testing, customer support, and maintenance of water treatment systems across various applications at our (major) accounts in the assigned geographic area. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities. He or she reports to the Field Service Leader and will cover the region of North-East and Eastern part of the Netherlands. The suitable candidate preferably lives in the Zwolle region or surrounding areas. Essential responsibilities The following activities are a guideline; others can be part of the job scope: Perform on-site chemical testing and program follow-up Customer reporting and Data processing with the use of the Veolia InSight platform First line trouble shooting for Cooling, Boiler, Water & Waste and Industrial process water treatment applications Execute Site Surveys, Equipment Start up and Commissioning Manage small repairs and maintenance Make the correct diagnoses on-site for larger repairs to be carried out by the technical team Retain strong verbal and written contact with customers at several levels Minor assembly operations, as required Project coordination Follow and conduct technical trainings Fulfill Pilot trials and Field trials when required Participate in the local team meetings to share best practices Comply with integrity and safety as required by Veolia policies Report all work related incidents and near misses to Line Manager and EHS Manager Participate in required EHS Training Perform Workplace Inspections on customer sites on regular basis and report findings accordingly Achieve annual EHS Goals assigned to the function Support the Account Manager during Business Reviews Qualifications Qualifications/Requirements Service oriented, external focus Chemical background Taking initiative – driven by technical improvements Ability to work independently and as part of a team (team player) Commercial feeling and interest Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn new software applications Proficiency in data processing and reporting Good knowledge of Dutch & English is required Strong flexibility, analytical and problem-solving skills Experience and/or interest in Waste Water Treatment is a plus Driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites on frequent basis Additional Information What Veolia WTS has to offer This role offers a diverse and dynamic job with a high degree of independence The chance to actively participate in the ecological transformation of the industry in all its facets Make a positive impact on sustainability through onsite water management A challenging environment, where training and development, both on-the-job and through training provided by Veolia, give an opportunity for individual growth An attractive salary package, combined with additional benefits such as a company car with fuel card, cell phone, laptop, a volunteering day, hospitalization insurance, group insurance etc. Job description Field Service Engineer Many opportunities for internal growth into different commercial or technical roles, with dedicated support and training programs in place within a global organization Additional information This position requires travel to customer sites and involve working in various industrial environments.
