The Role: Field Service Engineer
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for key activities in system installations, upgrades, and maintenance. This position will have the opportunity to work with several engineering disciplines from mechanical engineers to application software developers. They will play a key role in ensuring that Neocis provides top quality service to its customers.
What you’ll do:
Installing, maintaining, testing, and documenting complex medical devices
Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to reduce system downtime
Maintain effective communications with supervisor and peers in daily activities.
Complete training as applicable for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) related tasks.
Follow all applicable Quality and Safety procedures
Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
Maintain company working areas and local environment in accordance with applicable general operating procedures.
Assure that all measuring instruments that are used are within calibration limits.
Ensures that all activities are carried out within regulations and laws governing business and quality operations
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, national, international and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance
What you’ll bring:
BS in Engineering or equivalent
Experience with maintaining, testing, and documenting complex medical devices
Willingness to travel on a regular basis to support multiple accounts
Excellent debugging skills
Ability to explain complicated technical information in simple terms
Comfortable interacting with medical professionals as well as engineers
Team player with excellent communication skills, including written and
Experience with medical devices that include a significant software and electrical component
Familiar with CT scan images and DICOM protocol standards
Start-up experience
Experience in a customer facing role
What else?
This is a full-time position. This position occasionally requires long hours and weekend work.
This is not a supervisory role
The position will require 75% travel; frequently travel is outside the local area and overnight in and out of state
The main location of this role is in a manufacturing/clinical environment and requires:
This position requires the regular use of optical and mechanical calibration equipment, hand tools, calipers, and digital multimeter
Prolonged periods working on a computer
