What makes this worth a move?

You won't be stuck in the same plant every day. You'll get out on the road, work with top-tier food and packaging kit and gain new skills as you become a true specialist.

And if you're looking ahead, there's clear room to grow - whether you want to step up into senior engineering, move across into sales or eventually go into management.

You'll take home around £55K-£60K+ with regular overtime at 1.5x your hourly rate, paid door-to-door. You'll also get a company car, full expenses covered and a solid 40-hour base week with loads of extra earning potential.

All serviceengineers get full product training, but it'll help if you've already worked with electromechanical production kit - stuff like thermofromers, wrappers, tray sealers, motors, baggers, slicers, weighers or anything similar in FMCG or manufacturing. What matters most is that you're hands-on, comfortable working solo or in a small team, and open to staying away now and again. All travel and stays are fully covered.

What You'll Be Doing As a Service Engineer

  • Repairing, maintaining and installing food and packaging machinery on customer sites
  • Retro-fitting new equipment into existing production lines
  • Supporting customers on-site and over the phone
  • Training operators and engineers to keep things running smoothly

You'll need to have

  • Strong hands-on maintenance experience on production machinery (FMCG or similar)
  • Solid electrical and mechanical skills (motors, conveyors, etc.)
  • A willingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight (all expenses paid)
  • Field service experience is a bonus, but not a must
