Description

Responsible for supporting Franklin Electric Grid Solutions sales via comprehensive, world-class technical representation, support, and training, to end customers and channel partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • In the assigned territory, provide technical service and support on Franklin Electric Grid Solutions products.
  • Carry out testing and commissioning including site acceptance test with consultant and end-user with troubleshooting of Franklin products in customer installations.
  • Maintain service agreements with customers for maintenance service and execute the same as per the contractual service level.
  • Provide direction and expertise during new product installations.
  • Represent Franklin Electric Grid Solutions at on-site installation meetings to timely resolve field issues.
  • Present technical seminars to Grid Solutions customers and channel partners. Represent Franklin Electric at trade shows and special events.
  • Provide field feedback to Grid Product Management on market conditions, product enhancements, and needed upgrades.
  • Write and submit weekly reports needed to highlight problems at specific sites and/or with certain customers or products.
  • Provide customer guidance in the initial design phase and proper application of Grid Solutions products.
  • Provide specialized training to specific customers.
  • Provide specialized document or procedure to customer to support operational requirement.
  • Provide 24/7 response to customer call and activation to response within stipulated timeframe.
  • After office working hours and weekend support to new customer installation and maintenance.
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Skills and Abilities
  • Working knowledge of critical asset monitoring systems in general for data centers, utilities, or related market segments, with specific knowledge of Battery Systems, UPS, and Battery Monitoring Systems
  • Experience in data center battery management and maintenance is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills. Ability to develop strong working relationships with customer, consultant, and end-user.
  • Be able to work independently with outstanding organizational skills.
  • Previous sales or service experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated and energetic personality with a desire to service the customer.
  • Effectively communicates information and responds to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, the general public, and other employees of the organization.
  • Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business information.
  • Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Utilizes common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
  • Deals with problems involving several known variables in situations of routine nature.
  • Plans the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work; may also occasionally assist in planning work assignments performed by others within a limited area of operation.
  • Defines problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draws valid conclusions.
  • Interprets an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deals with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Deals with problems involving several known variables in situations of routine nature.
  • Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Overseas travel is required for new customer installation and maintenance in Asia region.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with relevant experience required.
  • Three to five years of technical, sales, or related Grid systems or industry experience (preferred).
Computer Skills
  • Advanced: Software installation or upgrade, Windows OS installation, Microsoft SQL database knowledge.
  • Intermediate: Contact management, presentation/PowerPoint, Excel, and Words.
  • Basic: Database, word processing/typing.
Certificates and Licenses
  • Class 3 driving license with personal owned vehicle (Must)
  • Building Construction Safety Supervisor Safety Course (BCSS)
  • BizSAFE certification
  • SPPG Safety certification
