Field Service Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to support the repair, installation, and maintenance of ballast water management systems. This remote position requires regular travel to customer sites. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical engineering and manufacturing, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service in the marine or related industries.

Field Service Technician Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic testing and troubleshoot malfunctions on ballast water management systems.
• Interpret and work with mechanical and electrical schematic diagrams.
• Complete technical reports and documentation in line with engineering policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Train end users on basic repairs and troubleshooting for pump components.
• Monitor and manage service budgets and related expenditures.
  
  

Field Service Engineer Position Requirements

• Proven experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a hands-on service or field role.
• Background in manufacturing environments, with a focus on mechanical/electrical systems.
• Experience in the full service lifecycle within the marine, automotive, or similar industries.
• Ability to work independently and manage travel-based responsibilities efficiently.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
