Job Title Field Placement and Data Coordinator Position Purpose
This position maintains state accreditation for undergraduate and graduate education programs to ensure that teacher candidates are placed in high-quality placements that meet all Federal and State licensure standards. This position will collect, analyze, and maintain data in accordance with the assessment system that meets both national and state standards, using the designated system adopted by the College.
Essential Duties Summary
* Ensures all NH State Standards are met to maintain NEC's approval to teach educational courses.
* Ensures all State and Federal reporting is completed on time and with accuracy in consultation with the Director of Teacher Licensure.
* Develop relationships to create and maintain K-12 partnerships.
* Identifies and places students, based on their qualifications, in their early fieldwork sites, their culminating field sites, and communicates these placements to the students and college officials.
* Supports Cooperating Teachers in the K-12 setting and ensures all compliance tasks are completed and submitted to the education office on time.
* Supports students as they move through the Gateway process with a focus on acceptance into the education major and retention in the program. Ensures all students have completed the required criminal background checks.
* Maintains records within the Gateway process.
* Supports faculty on issues in the field.
* Oversees all elements of the computer software systems used for record keeping and data collection.
* Collects, maintains, and analyses data within the assessment system.
* Ensures accurate student and program records are kept and accessible.
* Adheres to and advocates for all NEC policies and processes.
* Teach one 4-credit class in both the fall and spring semesters.
Required Qualifications
Education/Licensure
* Masters in Education required.
Experience
* 5+ years of K-12 teaching experience.
Skills and Knowledge
* Attention to detail, excellent record keeping, and adherence to policies.
* Ability to identify and address issues in the K-12 field.
* Microsoft Office.
* Data collection and analysis.
* Ability to learn software tools.
Preferred Qualifications
* Current K-12 NH State licensure.
* Knowledge of NH public schools.
