Summary

B. Online is seeking a highly skilled “Field Network/Telephony Engineer” with a CCIE Collaboration certification and a deep background in deploying enterprise telephony and contact center solutions. This role is implementation-focused, requiring hands-on deployment of systems and technologies from leading vendors such as Cisco, Avaya, Mitel, etc. The successful candidate will also produce detailed technical documentation for each project.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and implement advanced telephony and contact center solutions using Cisco (CUCM, UCCX, CUBE, Unity), Avaya, Mitel, and other major platforms.
  • Ability to work with open standard platforms based on Asterisk OS (Yestar, Granstream ..etc)
  • Execute telephony-related network configurations, ensuring alignment with best practices for QoS, SIP, VoIP, and security.
  • Integrate telephony solutions into existing client environments, including LAN/WAN networks.
  • Collaborate with project managers and solution architects to understand deployment requirements and timelines.
  • Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including configuration guides, deployment records, and diagrams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve implementation issues onsite or remotely during deployment phases.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet quality, security, and performance standards.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Telecom Engineering, Information Technology or any related degree.
  • CCIE Collaboration certification (required).
  • Proven field experience (7+ years) in deploying and supporting telephony/contact center solutions.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Cisco Collaboration Suite (CUCM, Unity, UCCX), SIP trunking, and voice gateways.
  • Experience deploying solutions from Avaya, Mitel, or similar telephony vendors.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and design, particularly as it relates to voice and video traffic (QoS, VLANs, SRTP, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently in customer-facing field roles with minimal supervision.
  • Strong documentation skills using Visio, Word, and other standard tools.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud-based telephony solutions (Webex Calling, MS Teams Direct Routing, etc.).
  • Additional certifications from Avaya, Mitel, or other vendors.
  • Experience with network performance tuning for real-time communications.
