Servomex, the world leader in gas analysis, are excited to be creating a new role for a ‘Semiconductor Service Leader’ to focus on our Semiconductor and Specialty Gas customers.
This is a unique and excellent opportunity for an experienced and customer focused service professional to join our high-performing team based out of our US Technical Center in Woburn, MA. Reporting to the Americas Service Manager, the successful candidate will be the dedicated support engineer and facilitator for the Speciality Gas and Semiconductor customers, growing our presence within the market, developing business opportunities and promoting the Servomex Service and Spares products.
Please note: this opportunity will require flexibility to travel to North American customer sites and occasionally internationally (up to 75% travel).
About the Opportunity:
Be the primary support point for key ‘Semiconductor’ and ‘Speciality Gas’ customers
Function as the field and inhouse service expert for Servomex Trace Gas Analysers
Facilitate customer needs in a timely manner aligned to customers’ expectations, managing a fleet of hot swap and rental analyses for key customers, and working closely with the inhouse service team to ensure that key semiconductor repairs are prioritized and flawlessly executed
Manage tech support inquiries for all trace analyser products. This will require both Field Service Engineer -Specialist to both perform tech support and to delegate when appropriate
Perform preventative maintenance verifications at key customer sites
Work closely with Sales to build relationships with key semiconductor customers in the US
Take an entrepreneurial approach to develop and grow Servomex stake of preventative maintenance agreements, and promote commissioning & calibration services, utilizing knowledge of the speciality gas market and its key players
This position will sell services and products using technical sales and knowledge of products to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their requirements
Work closely with the customer and the Servomex Semiconductor Sales Specialist to develop a customer base with scheduled visits to promote Service and Spare Parts and increase order intake and sales revenue to meet assigned targets
Actively pursue sales opportunities (face-to-face meeting, telephone, video) and report back to Sales / Service leadership
Secondary responsibilities include field service support for the oil and gas installation base
Conduct customer site walkdowns to advise customer on any installation recommendations, potential issues, and ensure that all analyzer parts and accessories are present and accounted for
Utilize Field Service Lightning to complete field service reports, record site risk assessments, and commissioning & PM checklists
When not actively performing field calls the candidate will be expected to complete reporting, communication with upcoming customers, and follow-up with recent customers and perform workshop repairs and customer technical support at the Woburn facility and provide after-hours technical support as part of the on-call rotation
About your Talent:
Essential Experience and Skills:
Proven and demonstrable experience working in a similar service role (analyzers/closely related instrumentation)
High potential candidate with strong commercial awareness and the talent to grow into a management role
Ability to provide technical support to clients to diagnose analyzer operational or process related issues
Expertise in the application of high purity sensing technologies used in UHP gas, ASU, Semiconductor manufacturing
An excellent communicator with a proven track record in providing an excellent field service experience at customer sites
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot analytical equipment down to main component level utilizing diagnostic equipment, such as oscilloscopes, electrical meters, and other monitoring equipment
Self-motivated and well organized – will be primarily working independently at a customer’s site with minimal supervision and will be required to create full and accurate documentation of the service call
Demonstrated ability to interface with and influence senior level executives as SME and displays strong negotiating skills
Strong prospecting and opportunity management skills with ability to perform discoveries to uncover critical business issues within prospect accounts
Desirable Experience and Skills:
Mid to Senior level knowledge and experience with coulometric, TDL, paramagnetic, zirconia, TCD, plasma, GC sensing technologies with the capability to troubleshoot, repair, program, and calibrate Plasma, Coulometric, GC, and TDL Gas anyalzers
Experience with gas analysers in semiconductor applications
Established relationships at US semiconductor facilities
Working knowledge of Salesforce.com
Additional requirements:
Must be capable of lifting 50lbs maximum and carrying objects weighing up to 25lbs
Ability to work at heights if needed
Candidate must possess a valid TWIC card & Passport, maintain a clean driving & criminal record, and the ability to pass routine background, drug, and alcohol screenings on a regular basis
This role requires a high degree of travel; therefore, the successful candidate must have the ability and access to undertake travel by air/road
Desirable Education:
A four (4) Year Degree in Chemistry, Physics, or related discipline is preferred
