Based from home, primarily supporting clients in New York, with occasional travel to Boston.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 24/7 support as part of a technical escalation rota.
  • Perform installation, cabling, and wiring services.
  • Furnish ground equipment and associated framework per grounding standards.
  • Run and manage cables including power, fibre/ethernet, and console cables.
  • Clean and inspect all fibres.
  • Label equipment and cables with precise designations.
  • Perform Smart Hands support on network and server hardware.
  • Troubleshoot hardware problems and perform planned maintenance.
  • Conduct quality inspections and supervise subcontractors at POPs (Point of Presence).
  • Engage in additional services such as cage or rack builds, fibre installs, circuit migrations, and audits.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience with racking and stacking, transmission, and fibre optic cabling.
  • Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing telecommunication networks.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting faults using test equipment like LSPM.
  • Knowledge of Cisco/Juniper CPE devices and remote console troubleshooting.
  • Flexible approach to adapt and react to business needs.
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience including I&C activity, test equipment, network build, etc.
  • Understanding of Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) standards.
  • Entry-level understanding of OSP and IP.
