MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overseeing customer needs, engineering and quality control
  • Preparing written recommendations and computer models
  • Working closely with customer engineering specialists to analyze well conditions and job requirements
  • Working closely with lab techs, logistics and operations for equipment needs and job preparation
  • Developing and evaluating laboratory tests and information to ensure proper products and systems are being utilized on all jobs
  • Assisting the sales group in presentations of technical matters to customers
  • Conducting on-location job quality and safety inspections
  • Assisting the service delivery effort by conducting classes in product application for district equipment operators and service supervisors
  • Training district sales personnel and new Field Engineers on new products and services

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Qualifications:

  • Engineering Bachelor Degree is required
  • Chemical, Mechanical, Civil & Petroleum Engineering are preferred

Experience:

  • 4 or more years experience as a cement engineer with a major service provider preferred
  • Lab experience a plus
  • Sales experience a plus

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Proficient with computers and software
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Leadership skills

CRITICAL TASKS / PERFORMANCE GOALS:

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions (hot, cold, wet etc). The employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; potential risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the environment is moderate to loud. Provision, wearing and maintenance of personal protective/ respirator equipment (including face masks).

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, sit and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. As necessary can manually lift a load with two hands, using good manual handling techniques up to a maximum of 50 pounds.

Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear and smell; lift more than 100 pounds. The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus and distinguish color.
