Summary

We are seeking a Field Engineer for night shift operations to support construction activities, ensuring efficient execution, compliance with project specifications, and seamless coordination with the field team. Regular Job Duties * Collaborate with night shift foremen and superintendents to track and analyze work plans for maximum efficiency in field operations. * Develop, maintain, and report daily quantities installed and performed. * Analyze and compare budgeted vs. actual production rates and material yield. * Perform quantity take-offs from plans and contrast weekly field quantities with planned quantities. * Assist in developing Work Activity Plans and ensuring adherence to project standards. * Provide monthly quantity reports for verification and billing. * Ensure that night shift fieldwork is constructed within project specifications. * Support project engineers and superintendents as required. * Maintain and organize Plan Drawings, Revisions, and As-Builts. * Assist in maintaining all Project Logs. * Monitor and compare ordered materials vs. budgeted quantities. * Maintain a Daily Diary and provide schedule updates to the Project Engineer. * Initiate, drive, and control Field Operations Reports. * Develop Look-Ahead Schedules with the project superintendent. * Present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings, including managers and employees. * Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders. * Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. * Experience of 2+ years in a similar role preferred. * Experience in night shift construction operations is a plus. * Foundational knowledge of drawing and specifications, estimating and CPM scheduling preferred. * Strong skills in MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. * Ability to multi-task, work independently, and drive efficiency in night operations. * Valid driver's license for occasional required travel. * Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. * Moderate physical activity, including maneuvering on construction sites in various weather conditions. * Manual dexterity to handle construction-related tasks.
